About Us
The UCT Surgical Society is a student and faculty-driven society of the University of Cape Town, affiliated with the Department of Surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital. The society was established in 2006 and today has more than 700 student members.

View dates for our exciting calender of events spanning surgical talks given by top local and visiting international surgeons, advanced and basic surgical skills surgical courses targeted at medical students, and finally our "gloves-on" anatomy workshops!
Meet the Committee
The Executive Committee aims to provide members with activities and experiences that will enhance their development and interest in all aspects of surgery, medical research, and leadership. The team consists of 10 students from all years of medicine.
